IWK Central Referral - Call 902-464-4110 if you would like information on accessing the IWK's mental health programs.
Mental Health Crisis Line -1 800 668-6868
This new provincial-wide service is now available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide mental health crisis intervention. The crisis line is staffed by licensed clinicians with a background in social work, nursing or occupational therapy.  Staff will triage and assess each call for risk and safety issues, and will help the caller cope with their issue.
Adolescent Outreach Services Northern Zone

Youth can self-refer by drop-in at the allocated schools where the Adolescent Outreach Services is offered. School Administration, teachers, guidance, support staff, caregivers, friends, and healthcare professionals can also refer youth to worker.

Metro Help Line - 902-421-1188
· Available to residents of Metro Halifax, all ages.
· Offers information, referrals, lay counselling, and crisis and suicide intervention.
·  Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m., daily
The Mental Health Mobile Crisis Team 902-429-8167 or 1-888-429-8167 (toll free) 
(MHMCT) provides intervention and short term crisis management for children, youth and adults experiencing a mental health crisis. We offer telephone intervention throughout the Capital District and mobile response in areas served by Halifax Regional Police including Halifax, Dartmouth and Bedford. Our support is confidential, non-judgmental and respectful.
