One of our largest school activities in Queens County is school-based Track and Field teams. These teams usually see 75-100 of our student-athletes competing and working together to represent our school and community. However, our schools do not have their own track! In fact, the nearest track facility at which we could train, is in Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, over 50 kms away! This makes training difficult, impractical and puts all of our students at an unfair disadvantage. Our students work hard, and are willing to put in the hours it takes to improve; not only at their grades, but for their extra curricular as well, but not having the environment they need to safely train is heartbreaking! Our neighbouring school, South Queens Middle School also does not have a track, so their students walk up to our school and use our paved bus loop and parking area to train in! This means for grades 6-12, these dedicated track and field athletes will never have a proper area / facility to train and compete in. This is unacceptable! The high school students often grow frustrated when they travel to many other schools to see the beautiful soccer fields and full size tracks, and talk of how they are embarrassed when thinking of their own schools. We need to restore school pride, we need to show Queens County students that WE CARE! We need to work together to gather funds and build a track at LRHS, where ALL Queens County schools and community members can train! A track in Queens County for these students is long overdue! Please continue to read through this site, and consider contacting the school, or donating funds to get this project started NOW! We have been consulting with TurfMastersLTD and Architecture49 we have a solid plan and ample room to make this plan a reality.

Sarah MItton is a Canada Games Champion and current Canadian Olympic Team Member. Sarah spent many hours away from her home as a student, travelling in other regions to make her dream a reality. Let's give Sarah and future Queens County Olympians a chance to train AT HOME!!
Ben Theriau from Hunts Point, Queens County was a multi-medalist in the 2018 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games and went on to represent Canada in Abu Dhabi at the World Summer Games. We would love to give Ben a place to train in Liverpool
Our Outdoor Project contains new multi-directional jumping pits suitable for hosting events and training, throwing area, meaning our athletes and coaches will not have to travel over 50km to train before events!
Warriors would now be able to host events and welcome all other schools to Queens County, allowing others to learn why Queens County is awesome! It will also allow our families and students to cheer on our athletes and host community events like Terry Fox Run, Relay for Life, 55+ Games, Special Olympics, Run-Jump-Throw events.
