Greetings from the
Music Room!
Here is our new classroom for the time being. You can still make music a part of your day without a music room, and even without instruments to play! I am challenging each and every one of you to find a special time of day for you to step back and explore the different songs and activities I will upload at the beginning of each week, and to really appreciate the value of music. For me, not only as a teacher, but just as a person, music is my happy place - whether I'm singing a song in my car, playing a song on the piano with my little girl, or just listening to music when I'm making supper, it is really something I enjoy. I hope you can make some connections about the value of music too during this time.
Each week, each grade will have 2 different activities. There will be a music challenge to complete, along with a music lesson. You will see different types of activities here. Some will be in the form of videos, some activities will be explained in text, and others will be music worksheets. I am available to answer any of your questions that you have. Please feel free to email me at anytime at jlsmart@gnspes.ca and I will get right back to you.
