NPower Canada is a national employment program that provides participants with free in-demand digital and professional skills training, and connects them to new and rewarding career opportunities with some of Canada’s largest employers.
At Edge, we provide youth outreach, mental wellness support, hands-on employment skill building and
job seeking guidance.
Our program was created for youth, by youth, and we aim to inspire our clients to take the lead, challenge themselves, learn, set goals and have lots of fun building great relationships
along the way.
Our space in Kentville is designed to feel like a second home, where the coffee is always on and the fridge and cupboards are stocked.
It is a bursary to provide individuals from underrepresented and underserved communities with opportunities to receive certifications, training or the equipment needed to gain employment in the clean energy sector. The bursary should be used to fund the final piece in an individual's employment journey and can be used for participation in existing training programs put on by educational institutions (i.e., NSCC), specialized training centres (i.e., Safety Services Nova Scotia), or other reputable organizations (subject to approval).

All micro credentials currently offered at NSCC are tuition free because they are part of Quick Train Canada, a fully-funded training program to provide workers with new skills needed to support a clean economy. They're powered by Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery (C2R2) and funded by the Government of Canada’s Sectoral Workforce Solutions Program.
