The history of Kings County Academy dates back to approximately 1870, when a building housing the Academy and common school was constructed on Academy Hill. Over the years, the school experienced significant changes: fires, new additions, and various grade configurations.
The 'new' KCA opened its doors to students in September 2012 and is part of the Northeast Kings Education Centre Family of Schools.
