Below are some Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Summer Learning Academy 2022.
Accessing the Event
How do I access the SLA Virtual Events?
Virtual events will use Google Meet. Based on session choices when you register, organizers will send you the Google Meet Links.
How do I attend sessions?
Once you have the link, you can join the session at the date/time it is scheduled.
What devices can I use?
A desktop or laptop computer with wired internet access is recommended for the best experience for both Presenters and attendees. Attendees may be able to access the sessions on smaller devices and/or on WiFi.
There are too many great sessions to see in one week! Will session recordings be available after the conference?
Some sessions may be recorded. At this time we can not confirm which ones though.
Registration and Scheduling
How do I register for Summer Learning Academy sessions and IT Camp?
Where can I find the schedule?
How long will the sessions be?
Most individual sessions will be 60 minutes in length. In order to allow movement between sessions and streams sessions have been assigned in 1 hour blocks. So, a session that is 90 minutes will have two blocks in the schedule, however the description will indicate the duration accurately.
Do I need to register for individual sessions?
For most of the Virtual SLA Week sessions, yes. However, some of the learning opportunities during SLA Week span full days or multiple days. In those cases, you'll only register once and that will serve as registration for the full day or days.
For IT Camp, you'll just register for the event. Which sessions you attend at IT Camp will be up to you and can be chosen when you are at St. FX.
