The Summer Learning Academy invites participants to learn and grow together via in-person and online summer PD sessions offered during the week of July 25 – 29, 2022. Session content will be varied, however, the common theme will be <insert theme> bringing teachers from across Nova Scotia together to collaborate and learn. The Summer Learning Academy (SLA) is a professional learning opportunity that supports the work that Nova Scotia teachers are doing to integrate innovative and research-based practices in their classes. SLA strives to deliver high-quality, culturally, and linguistically responsive and equitable sessions to support the well-being and achievement of every participant. SLA will model online learning and practices to demonstrate to teachers how they can bring these kinds of practices into their own in-person and online teaching.

IT Camp has existed for a couple of decades, and LRTS is delighted to be able to return to face-to-face events again this year! Join us at St Francis Xavier University in Antigonish from July 27 to 29th. Attendance at IT Camp sessions is open to all IT Camp attendees, so the registration process below lists IT Camp as just one event. Since it is part of SLA Week 2022, there may be sessions you'd like to attend virtually during IT Camp, you'll need to include those in your registration. Based on many years of highly successful summer camps we expect that this will be a fun and enriching way to learn with colleagues from around the province in an informal and collaborative environment.
