Session Description: There are many ed tech tools that teachers can integrate into their classroom to support student learning. In this session we will explore high leverage tools which allow students to share their learning through oral recordings, video, screencasting, annotations. Teachers will learn ways to provide feedback digitally and use the built in features of these ed tech tools to support Universal Design for Learning in their classroom. In addition, will revisit some of the robots currently available in NS schools. Be ready to have some fun in this hands on session!

Session Description: Are you new teachers who is overwhelmed at the amount of Google tools available? Not sure how to effectively and appropriately use the tools to support engagement and achievement? Join me to learn about the most used Google tools available to HRCE teachers. This session will offer an introduction to the basic features of Google Drive, Classroom, Docs, Slides, Forms, and others, including hands on ideas for use in the classroom and best practices for using them in your teaching. As this is a hands on session, participants will need access to their GNSPES account, or their HRCE account, and will need to bring a device with them (Chromebook or laptop preferred, as session will focus on editing with the web based versions, not the app based versions).
