While the outcomes for Mathematics 7 and 8 will not be changing, there will be a renewed emphasis on student centered instructional approaches. Teachers should think about how they can increase student participation in planning, instruction and assessment. How can we give students additional input and choice into how they learn and demonstrate their achievement? Inquiry based and hands-on learning will be key components of the renewed curriculum in all subject areas.
