Provincial assessments provide a snapshot of student performance relative to selected curriculum outcomes in English Language Arts. They support learning by providing feedback to students, teachers and parents about student learning. Provincial assessments can also provide system-wide information that assists in identifying educational trends and making decisions about resources and support.
The RWM8 was cancelled during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years as a result of COVID-19.
