• Today we are going to practice using Raz Kids! This is an online reading platform!

• We will explore the platform together!

• The link to this website is here (I will put this link in an accessible place on the website as well!). I can also make a video of how to use & post.

• It will ask for a teacher username. Usually it just asks for this once if using the same computer. The username is amacdougall2

• Then find your name. Click on your name. The password is the picture of a duck!

• Once logged in, there is the reading room & assignments. Reading room is like a library. Students can pick any book they would like! The assignments are ones that I have assigned for them to read! There are comprehension questions at the end of every book. These are very important to complete. Please have the students try to answer these independently! If they cannot answer questions about the book, this is VERY useful for me to know. I can review the book with them, OR it means that maybe this level book is too hard at this time. They might need help reading the actual question itself, which is perfectly okay. It is also okay to read the book again before answering questions!

• I have assigned a writing activity to go with reading a book from Raz Kids! Students can pick whatever book they want- It does not have to be one of the ones I assigned! Please check the writing tab.
