We had the pleasure of having our Aboriginal support worker, Ms. Dupuy, come into our class and talk to us about Mi'kmaq history. The above image is the official apology, to former students of Indian Residential Schools, from Prime Minister Harper in July 2008.
SHJH had the amazing opportunity to listen to Symphony Nova Scotia yesterday, October 5th, for about 40 mins! What an experience. The students soaked up a little bit of Nova Scotian music culture.
