Writing Workshop

Writing workshop entries are a great way for students to practice telling part of their day as a story, and helps with recall. When they write journal entries, they should look to make sure words are spelled in lowercase letters ( with an uppercase for the beginning of a sentence and names of course ! ), that each sentences ends in punctuation and that words are spelled as best as they can.

They could also be experimenting with dialogue as well, adding in moments where they are talking, or someone is talking to them. A journal entry also needs a beginning, middle and end. They should also answer the "w" questions : who, what, when, where and why. A picture that matches their story should complete the entry !

Your classroom teacher would have assigned you work but if you are looking for other ideas to keep you busy here are a few suggestions and you can email me your work or you can take a picture of it and email me the picture. I can't wait to read your work !
