Ramadan is a spiritual time for Muslims. It is a month that symbolizes dedication, reflection, and discipline.
It is important to remember that you may have students who are fasting (no food or drink including water) for 16 hours a day (from 4 am - 8 pm), for one month. Families often wake up at 3 am to eat then break their fast with a meal at 8 pm. Please be cognizant that students may be tired, lack focus and easily tire which will impact assessment, physical activity, etc.
Please reach out to the EAL team if you have any questions.
