Your child will need to register in order to attend a school in Nova Scotia. If you are the parent, and you have a valid study or work permit, there are no fees for your child to attend school in Nova Scotia. Children in Cape Breton are bussed to school for free if they live more than 1km from the school in elementary school and 2.4km from the school in middle school and/or high school.
