I am taking this opportunity to reach out to the families of Caledonia JH and of Prince Andrew High School. As we face these uncertain times, I would like to extend a message of hope and encouragement to you. We will get though this!

There are a number of stressors that our young learners are trying to manage in addition to their academic goals. For example, they may be adjusting to the new Covid-19 routines, or starting a new academic year and let’s not forget, with respect to our Indigenous and students of African Descent, supporting the Black Lives & Indigenous Lives Matter Movement is a crucial component to their(our) mental health . However, knowing all of this, it is my priority as your School Counsellor, to support all students and their families with their emotional and mental well-being when needed.

I trust that we could also maintain optimism for a speedy resolution to the current situation, as we also continue to provide unwavering support for our health care providers.

We will get through this together !
