There are a large number of technological tools and resources available to teachers and students.

Education falls under the N.S.  Personal Information International Disclosure Protection Act (PIIDPA). This act restricts what can and cannot be shared on servers outside of Canada.  The act restricts anything that stores students personal information, but allows use of resources that have been reviewed and deemed necessary.

It is important that teachers understand the restrictions that are placed upon them when using digital resources. Teachers do not need to get approval to use digital resources themselves, UNLESS student information (photos, names, emails, etc.) are being used. Students should only use resources that have been reviewed and approved for use in CCRCE.

Below are listed all the reviewed resources. However some have limitations on how and when they should be used. Please review the documentation before using the tool or resource.
