Citadel High is an IB World School, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma and Certificates to any students interested in participating. We offer a variety of courses to support students with interests in the arts, humanities and sciences with a focus on international mindedness.

Did you know?
In July, 2024, the American Council on Education released its review of the value of IB courses, making recommondations to univeristies about how to award credit. Read more here.
Citadel High is one of the first schools in the world to pilot a new course called Language and Culture. Students get to explore ideas about language, culture and identity thorugh a language that is of interest to them. Reach out to Ms. Shaw if you're interested in knowing more.
Students at Citadel can also take one or two IB Courses as part of their programming. Choices include: Language and Literature, French, Spanish, Language and Culture, Psychology, History, Theatre, Music, Film and Visual Arts
The IB supports students with diverse learning needs. Our Special Education and Inclusion policy, linked below, provides information to students about the differetn ways their learning styles can be supported. Have questions? Reach out.
In 2023, Nova Scotia IB results were 10% higher than the North American Average and 3% higher than the Global Average.
