WELCOME TO 2024-25

Welcome Everyone to our 2024-25 School Year! 

I would like to thank everyone for their flexibility and support with changing the date of the Talent Show & Share. We want to put our best foot forward and for everyone to enjoy themselves and have fun. We already feel more confident and ready for you to join us Friday May 30th, from 3:30-4:30 in the Gym. 

An email will be sent out Monday or Tuesday with the finalized list of acts/performances. 

A reminder to parents that no toys from home are allowed at EXCEL. If they are brought to school, we will thank them for sharing with us and then ask that they stay in their backpacks-for safe keeping during EXCEL time.  

We will be outside more as the days are getting warmer-although the last couple of days seem more like Fall is here, a reminder to pack sunscreen, bug spray, a hat and a water bottle so the children stay hydrated and protected while we play. If the sunscreen and bug spray are to be used during school hours as well as EXCEL it would be best if the children kept them in their backpacks to use during both school hours and EXCEL. 

I have included programming, although this week will be our run throughs on the stage figuring out props, acts and putting those finishing touches together.

A reminder to pack 'EXTRA' snacks for the EXCEL children in the afternoon. While snacks are not provided, we do have snacks on hand in case of an emergency.

LOOSE PARTS: TURN YOUR TRASH INTO TREASURE...CALLING ALL LOOSE PARTS

If you having any materials that you would like to donate, please let me know. Loose parts are materials that can be moved, carried, combined, redesigned, lined up and taken apart and put back together in multiple ways. If you have any materials or items, you would like to donate to our Loose parts play it would be greatly appreciated. This could be anything from old pots and pans, cellphones, keys, Tupperware, etc. 

If for any reason your child will be absent from afternoon EXCEL, a phone call (902-240-9515) or an email: basinviewxl@hrce.ca would be appreciated, as the safety of the children is important. If your child will be taking the bus and a note has been sent to the teacher, please message me as a reminder too.
