Science in Year 4!

This half term Year 4 have been learning about 'Animals including humans'. As part of this, we have conducted a number of experiments; mirroring the digestive system and how enzymes break down the food we eat, testing different liquids and the impact on our teeth, and working scientifically to conduct and evaluate an experiment on the best biscuit for dunking.

As well as this, we have been lucky to welcome a master's student from Royal Holloway University; working on a biodiversity project looking at animals in the local area and their habitats. So far, the children have investigated birds in the local area and measured trees. By doing this, we were able to work out the age of the tree.
