National Poetry Day

On Friday 6th October 2023, we celebrated National Poetry Day. Each class received a very special visit from an author who has been working at GNSA Primary School - Mrs Denise Watson. 

Mrs Watson wrote personalised poems about the famous person each class is named after.  She then visited every class from Reception to Year 6 and read her beautiful poems to the pupils. 

Children were also set a homework task to find a favourite poem to perform in front of their peers which they thoroughly enjoyed, we have added a selection of poems for you to read. 

We all had great fun celebrating National Poetry Day 2023!
