English

In English this term, we have thoroughly enjoyed learning about traditional tales and narratives. We have read a range of tales including the Blind Man and the Hunter, Monkey and Papa God and The Peddler of Swaffham. Within these tales, we were able to identify morals to take away.

Maths

We have had great fun in Maths this half term. Year 4 have been busy covering a number of mathematical concepts, including types of angles, different types of triangles and quadrilaterals, lines of symmetry and rounding.

Humanities

In Humanities this half term, Year 4 have been learning about the United Kingdom and our European neighbours. Within our lessons, we have researched and learnt about capital cities in Europe, as well as famous landmarks and traditions in France, Spain, Ukraine, Poland and many more.

Children also learnt about the human and physical features of various European countries, including weather, climate zones, mountains, rivers and volcanoes.
