Library Policies
•Open Circulation will be 8:15—8:35 daily for 2nd - 8th grades beginning two weeks into the school year or when barcodes have been given to students on their library folders.
•Students must put their books on the return cart before choosing new books.
•Kindergarten, Third, Fourth and Fifth grades will come to library class every other week for MAPS.
•First and Second grades are on a three-week rotation for library class through MAPS.
•If one of these classes misses due to a holiday, effort will be made to have the class come at an alternate time that week for book checkouts.
• Middle school students can check out books at open circulation or put books on hold for delivery through the Destiny online circulation system.
•Library book due dates will reflect this schedule.
• Kindergarten will be able to check out 1 book at a time after library procedures and book care are taught. (This is usually toward the end of first semester.)
• 1st- 8th grade can check out 2 books at a time. First Grade will start checking out two books and coming to open circulation once procedures have been established.
Due dates/overdue books
• All library books are due on the day the student's class is scheduled to come to the library.
• If a book is overdue, the student may not check out a book until it is returned.
• If a book is lost or damaged, it must be paid for before the student can check out books.
• Student accounts must be reconciled before registration for the next school year. The school financial year ends June 30th. Any found books must be brought in by this date for a refund for lost book fines.
• Found books from previous years brought back will be considered donations.
