Hi! I am Emily Squires, the Library Media Specialist for Houston Middle School! I have been an educator in Memphis for over 25 years! I love reading, and I love young people, especially middle schoolers! I graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. In 2003, I received my Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from Union University. I also received my National Board of Professional Teaching as a Library Media Specialist in 2007 and successfully renewed it in 2017. I am originally from Mobile, Alabama, and have lived in Memphis since 1997. I love sports, especially Mississippi State University! I am married to Craig Squires, and we have two beautiful daughters, Emma (22), a graduate of Mississippi State University, and Ella (17), a senior at Houston High School. We also have a dog, Ginger, whom we adore.
