Resolve Google Account

GMSD’s deployment of Google Apps for Education means that everyone has a Google account with your @gmsdk12.org email address. If you had previously created a Google account using your @gmsdk12.org email address, you may experience some problems logging in due to the existing Google account conflicting with the GMSD Google account.

To resolve the issue of conflicting accounts, you will need to login to Google using the username [your @gmsdk12.org username]%gmsdk12.org@gtempaccount.com and the password you had previously configured for your @gmsdk12.org Google account. For example, if your email address is chris.cooper@gmsdk12.org, you would sign into Google using the username chris.cooper%gmsdk12.org@gtempaccount.com, and the password that you had previously used when signing into Google as chris.cooper@gmsdk12.org.

After logging in, you will be given the opportunity to rename this account and convert it to any available @gmail.com address. For example, you might choose chris.cooper.gmsd@gmail.com in the above example. From then on, you should have no more problems logging into your GMSD Google account using your GMSD email address.
