While we are not endorsing famous psychologist, Abraham Maslow, we do believe that our students and families need to have adequate support for their basic needs (food, shelter, safety, predictable routines, and social/emotional and learning needs met, to grow and achieve their best.
We encourage families to make use of any and all community resources that can assist your children, your family, and your health and wellness. In our district, we are continuing our attendance awareness campaign, Every Student, Every Day and adding a third message of Everyone Belongs in GMRSD.
If your family is experiencing factors outside of school affecting your child or children's consistent school attendance, we ask that you schedule an appointment with the building principal and school counselor. We want to work with families to address barriers and minimize impact on children.
