There will be a Summer Baseball meeting during wolverine time in the High School Band Room on Thursday, March 3. For Grade 9-12 only.
The Winter sports banquet has been moved to March 3rd. This is for swimming, basketball, cheer, and wrestling.
Those of you attending, make sure to check the email out about what to bring for the potluck dinner!
ATTENTION: UPCOMING 5-6 BAND SOLO CONTEST
The 5-6 Instrumental Music Solo Contest will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 4-8PM, in the GMG Elementary Music Room. Band students have been assigned a five minute time slot, where they will perform the solo they’ve been working on, for judge’s comments and a rating. Mrs. Gartin will accompany the students on piano. Families are encouraged to attend the performance, and students are to arrive no earlier than ten minutes before their performance time. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Mary Potter as our judge for the contest. Mrs. Potter is a band director at Miller Middle School in Marshalltown, and ready to hear the hard work that’s being made.
Track practice started in late February and golf practice is set to start March 14th. If you are a high schooler interested in joining either team, there is a signup located outside the main office.
The NHS and FFA are sponsoring a Spring Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 23rd from 1-6:30pm in the high school gym. Students will be calling community members in the next few weeks asking for donors.
Congratulations to the above 6th grade band students for their successful participation in the Middles Honor Band, held February 5 at South Hamilton High School!

GMG Secondary will be putting on "Greece is the Word : the Zuesical". The musical features a diner run by Greek gods who tell Greek myths through song. The musical will be held on the 25th and 26th.
On Saturday, February 26th students traveled to Marshalltown to perform in Individual District Speech Contest. 10 performances earned Division I ratings and are advancing to State contest on March 12th in Grinnell. Six performances earned a Division II rating.
