Participant accommodation will be directly organised by the “TEM-UCA European Summer Workshop”. The participants will be lodged in an individual room at “Colegio Mayor de la Universidad de Cádiz” located at Cadiz old-town centre from:
– Check-in: Sunday 13th july
– Check-out: Friday 18th july.
Only the 24 first registrations will be available for individual rooms.
The organization will set up the transportation by bus everyday from the Residence in Cádiz to the Faculty of Science in Puerto Real, two ways.
In the morning (from Monday to Friday), bus pick-up will be at the glorieta de Simón Bolívar between 8:55-9:00. Please be sure to be in time. Bus is leaving at 9:00.
In the afternoon (from Monday to Thursday), bus pick-up will be in the bus stop next to Faculty of Science (Puerto Real) between 17:40-17:45. Bus is leaving at 17:45.
By plane
The nearest airport is located in Jerez de la Frontera (40 km from Cádiz). There are daily direct-flights from Madrid, Barcelona, London and Frankfurt.
The M050 and M051 buses communicate the airport with Cádiz city (2.85 EUR). See more information on: bus schedule and www.cmtbc.es. Recently a train connection between Jerez airport and Cádiz City is working daily. See the following link.
Another possibility (more expensive) is to take a taxi from the airport to Jerez Train Station (18 EUR) plus a train from Jerez to Cadiz (Renfe).
Seville airport is located at 140 km of Cádiz. You can take a local bus from the airport to Seville Train Station “Santa Justa” (around 3 EUR) or a taxi (around 20 EUR). From there you can take a train to Cádiz city (Renfe).
Other possibilities are:
Flying into Málaga airport and traveling to Cádiz by car.
Flying into Madrid airport and traveling to Cádiz by car or train.
By train
You can travel from Madrid-Puerta de Atocha to Cádiz by fast train or a combination between a fast train (to Seville) and medium distance train (to Cádiz). (ADIF).
By car
From Madrid, take the road A4 to Seville, Jerez de la Frontera and finally Cádiz.
From Malaga, take the road AP-7 to Algeciras followed by A-381 in direction to Jerez de la Frontera, but change at El Pedroso to A-408 and CA-35.
