NEW Certification Requirements:
SNA Guide to Certification: Level 1 is the minimal requirement
Initial Level 1 Application Requirements
1. Eight (8) hour Core Course in Nutrition OR 1 College Credit in Nutrition AND
2. Eight (8) hour Core Course in Food Safety & Sanitation
Several people who have not had prior certification have expressed an interest in getting started with completion requirements. You may complete #1 by registering for a SNA approved online class at: https://theicn.docebosaas.com/learn/register Sign up for the Nutrition 101 Class There is an intro segment and 7 additional segments to complete the course.
OR you may register for the nutrition class on the Fresh From Florida training website.

#2 is satisfied if you have taken and passed your ServSafe class or you may register for Food-safety-in-school at https://theicn.docebosaas.com/learn/register Sign up for this class: https://theicn.docebosaas.com/learn/course/external/view/elearning/21/food-safety-in-schools
Once the above is completed you need to submit to SNA for your Certification. Fill out the application below and submit with your Nutrition 101 certificates and a copy of your ServSafe Certificate. (Please e-mail Leanna or Caron a copy of what you submit to SNA for our records). Below is the application: Check Level 1 and mail a check for $17.00 with your application.

Certification Renewal: THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY FOR AND KEEP UP TO DATE!
Note: SNA-Member annual renewal fee $10.00; Non-Member annual renewal fee $55.00. Your applicable fee will be added at checkout. Please allow 1 to 2 business days for SNA to process your online renewal.
Only applicable to individuals who currently hold a Level 1 Certificate; invalid renewal payment submissions will be cancelled.

Once you have logged your CEU's you need to scan and send to Leanna Tanner at: tannerls@gm.sbac.edu. This needs to be completed each year and submitted by each member that is renewing their certification to be eligible for the $200.00 supplement.
You will need to keep a copy for your own records and the association will also retain a copy for our records in the event of an audit.
