Members are invited to join after the first 9-weeks of their Junior or Senior year

To be eligible for membership in this chapter, the candidate must meet the requirements listed below. .

• be a Junior or Senior

• attend Eastside High School since the beginning of the Fall semester

• have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher

• have no major disciplinary infractions or fewer than three minor disciplinary infractions

An NHS member who transfers from another school shall be accepted as a member of

the chapter provided they meet the Eastside requirements after one semester.

Active members are expected to

• maintain the 3.5 GPA requirement

• participate in one NHS Service Project and one Individual Service Project each semester

• conduct themselves in a manner that reflects good character, i.e. being honest, ethical, fair, tolerant, courteous, and respectful

• pay dues
