Vocabulary

Our first vocabulary unit from Hot Words for the SAT will be unit 1. We will only have vocabulary on 5-day school weeks. Below is a list of assignments and quizzes related to each unit:

• Due Tuesdays - Sentences. Write a sentence using each word. I will be checking the sentences for word usage, correct grammar, and punctuation. A Pocket Style Manual (8th edition) is a wonderful resource to help you with these communication rules. It is not mandatory, but it is a resource you can use throughout high school and college.
• Due Wednesdays - Vocab Cartoon
• Due Thursdays - Analogies
• Friday - quiz in class.
