Welcome to Kanapaha Middle School! My name is Kristina Matrone and I am excited to be your teacher.
This is my ninth year teaching and my seventh year at Kanapaha. I earned my Bachelors of Arts in English and my Masters of Education from the University of Florida. Go Gators! I have three dogs: Olive, Willow, and Lil' Bit. As you will soon learn, I am a big kid! I love Star Wars, Harry Potter, Batman, and Toy Story. I enjoy being active, reading, creating healthy meals in the kitchen, and learning new things. Teaching is my passion and I am committed to your learning this year and beyond.
Middle school is a challenge for everyone, and my classroom is no exception. However, my classroom is set up to meet the needs of all of my students. It is a safe space and a place were all learners can be successful. Hard work, dedication, and communication are the keys to success. One thing all of my students should remember is: if you can't make a mistake, you can't make anything!
