I'm a Gator fan, Ultimate Frisbee competitor, bass player, mountain hiker, and I love learning and understanding the world around me - that's why I love science.

I started my college career as a declared Chemistry major, but quickly changed my major to Family, Youth, and Community Sciences.

I ended up spending a few years for a summer camp in South Carolina after college, but when I moved back to Gainesville it was time to go back to pursuing a calling in teaching. I started my teaching career as a high school English teacher. As much as I enjoyed discussing novels, themes, and how language affects our life, I have finally come back to my true love - science!

This will be my second year at Westwood Middle School, and I am excited to continue the pursuit of science, knowledge, and understanding the world we live in!
