 End of Year Universal Trip
Our Concert Band & Symphonic Winds bands have just returned from their End-of-Year Trip to Orlando. We had a great time at City Walk, Dave & Busters, working with the Ocoee High School Band, Wonderworks and Universal Studios! We also got to eat some AWESOME Bacon Fats BBQ!

The Bishop Bands were fortunate to have several guest clinicians come out to work with us on our MPA Music this year. We are VERY GRATEFUL to the following individuals for helping us become stronger musicians: Dr. Troy Thomas (UF Graduate Student), Mr. Noah Graben (Buchholz Band Director), Dr. Mark Nelson (Retired Director - Satellite High School), Mr. Everett McConn (Retired Director - Fort Clarke Middle School) and Mrs. Tina Laferriere (Retired Director - Tavares Middle School)
1/17/24 - Basketball pep band performance
Mr. Gary Langford, Conductor of the Alachua County Youth Orchestra, Gainesville Community Band and the Gainesville POPS came to work with our Symphonic Winds class and taught us how to play in Swing Style!

Kona Ice Visits HBMS!
Kona Ice visited Howard Bishop Middle School during all three lunch shifts today to sell cups of Kona Ice to our student body! They will be visiting us once per month & the proceeds from this fundraiser will help our classmates who need some extra assistance paying their band fees! It was a HUGE hit!
