Our program at the Academy of Entrepreneurship is designed to create a fun, personalized, and educational environment to help students understand the foundational skills of starting and managing their own business. Our classes are designed to give an equal balance between educational presentations and student centric work projects. Throughout a students time in the Academy, they will have the ability to lead their own projects, participate in simulated businesses, design products, run their own company, work at the school store, get certifications, compete with their business knowledge, and participate in many other opportunities! These experiences change our students into the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs. Here is a look at what to expect in the Academy.

The first three years of the program comprise the "Program of Study" in Entrepreneurship. These are largely traditional classroom based courses, with students being in either our computer lab or classroom. During years one through three, students focus on the fundamentals of what makes an entrepreneur, while also participating in and understanding the many projects that the Academy leads every year. In order to qualify for the CAPE Gold Seal designation, all three courses must be successfully completed. In their 12th Grade year, students are able to choose one of three advanced classes that focus on student project leadership and demonstration of entrepreneurial ability.
During their ninth grade year, students participate in our Principles of Entrepreneurship class. This course provides instruction in the basic principles of entrepreneurship including the role of the entrepreneur, entrepreneurship as a career, ethics in business, and the principles of marketing, financing, and managing a business. This year will allow students to get to know their teachers, how the academy works, and get a feel for what projects they want to take on during their time in the Academy.
Students in the Academy receive multiple industry level certifications. Not only does this help them secure the CAPE Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship, but it also gives them knowledge and tools needed for real world careers. The training and certifications are a tangible tool that students can use to show their achivement and list on their resume. A few of the certifications that we currently offer are listed below.
