Tai-Chia Chiu is a professor of the Department of Applied Science in National Taitung University, Taiwan. He received his BA (1996) in Chemistry from National Tsing-Hua University and obtained his MS (1999) and Ph.D. (2003) in Chemistry from National Taiwan University, Taiwan. His research interests include the development of fluorescent carbon dots and noble metal nanoparticles based nanosensors. He has 60+ journal publications and 3 book chapters.
