There are three majors research fields involve in my work

1. Optics (Fiber Optics) and Optical Devices developing and design: Developing product for telecommunication network such as multi-core connectors, specific fiber interconnection, WDM, DWDM, PLC, 5G network interconnection. Fiber optical transceiver design and tooling design.

2. Medical device Developing and Design: this research is co-operated with National Taiwan University Hospital (Yuan-Lin). A successful product story:

Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) is an alternative to conventional kidney hemodialysis, which can be performed by the patient at home. Exchanges of dialysis solution are performed four to five times per day. During these exchanges, patients must follow strict hygiene rules to avoid infection. This can be a challenge for patients with vision loss, or physical limitations such as hand tremors. PD*HelpingHand™ is a newly developed plastic assistive holder that helps reduce the possibility of contamination during connection and disconnection of dialysis solution exchange bags. PD*HelpingHand™ has been specially designed for use with the Baxter UltraBag™ PD system, in consultation with medical professionals.

3. Automatic production machine design and implementation: Help local company integrate existing production line and expand it for volume production. My student design a prototype machine and help factory for scale up production. The skill required is machine vision, PLC implementation, and machine jig/tool design.
