Photography I (CCIHS COURSE)

The creative process in photography is studied to develop visual perception and photographic design ability through active participation, photographic exercises, and discussions analyzing student work.
This course includes a study of photographic theory, camera functions and handling, printmaking techniques, composition and an opportunity to develop creative expression. Students will also be introduced to Adobe Photoshop through a series of fun industry standard projects and will create a portfolio of photographic works.
This course is offered as a CCIHS (College Credit in High School Class). If you select to take this course for college credits it will align with University of Wisconsin curriculum, and upon passing the course students will receive college credits at a reduced rate. This course allows students to further explore the world of photography. This course includes a continued study of photographic theory, camera functions and handling, composition and an opportunity to advance personal expression and style. Photography II students will explore more advanced techniques, develop their portfolio and investigate career options.
