Welcome!
If you have a student who performs at higher levels compare to others in her/his grade and that student needs modifcation to her/his curriculum to learn and realize their potential, then the Gifted and Talented Program is here to support you and the student.
The purpose of this site is to collect resources that can be used by teachers with students 4K-12 in many subjects. You can browse around or email me to set up a time to collaborate. If you have a resource to share, please contact me. I am always looking for good resources to support students!
Why does the state require Gifted Education? "Gifted education is important for students and for the local and global communities. Students who are challenged to maximize their potential build habits of success that lead to confidence and independence. This in turn prepares them to contribute positively to their local communities and to the larger global community." https://dpi.wi.gov/gifted/toolkit
The drop down menu is top left or there is magnifying glass top right that you can search the website with.
The first step is to contact me and give me some information about the student.
I will reach out to gather information from you and the family regarding the student's needs.
I will gather resources for you to use in your classroom to modify the child's educational experience.
In Wisconsin, “Gifted and talented pupils” means pupils enrolled in public schools who give evidence of high performance capability in intellectual, creative, artistic, leadership, or specific academic areas and who need services or activities not ordinarily provided in a regular school program in order to fully develop such capabilities.
