2022 - local writing contest that may be of interest for your students in grades 3-12.

This is part of a female educators group that supports each other, called Delta Kappa Gamma.
One activity that each chapter sponsors is a Literary Competition. First place winners of the local chapters move on to the State level.
I like this contest, since it's local and there's actual winners. The due date isn't until January 13, 2023, but it usually takes the kids a couple months to write a polished piece and illustrate it.
There's also a Bilingual Category, so this may be a good fit for your higher level high school Spanish students or any students that you have whose native language is Spanish.
I also attached a Slide presentation that I use to intro the project to my students. I meet with them weekly to provide guidance/conferencing/etc.
Let me know if you have questions.
Thanks,
Donell Bonetti
Could you use these resources without entering the contest and do the full contest next year?
