John is a lifelong resident of Brunswick, GA.  He graduated from Glynn Academy in 1998, then went to Georgia Southern where he was a member of the football team for 2 years.  He graduated in 2003 with a degree in Business Administration, focusing on Public Accounting.  He received his Master's Degree in Public Accounting from Brenau University in 2017. He has worked as an accountant in the tax industry, banking industry, and is currently an accountant for Coastal Industrial Contracting.  This wide variety of accounting work has helped him gain experience over the past 23 years in multiple areas. 

John has been an avid Georgia Bulldog fan since he was 8 years old and his brother was a student at UGA.  A season ticket holder, he has instilled his love of the Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and North Georgia to his wife and three children.  He has been married to his wife Kristen for thirteen years. A Brantley County native, she is an educator in the Glynn County School System.  They have three children, Garrett, Gannon, and Eliza.  They spend their spare time at the ballfield and dance studio and wouldn't have it any other way. He and his family are members of Brunswick First United Methodist Church, where he is an usher and serves on the finance committee.  He believes in giving back to the community, and supports Faithworks and has helped out with the Wainwright Foundation. 

 When not at the ball field, John and his family enjoy Georiga Bulldog football, Atlanta Braves baseball, fishing the Satilla River and the beaches of Glynn County.  Bull red fishing is something he enjoys doing with his children in the month of October on the beaches of St. SImons Island! They enjoy escaping to Blairsville, Georgia with his parents and brother. Lake Nottely and Vogel State Park are two of his favorite places! 

John truly loves the Golden Isles, and would love to use his tax expertise to benefit people who love the Golden Isles just as much as him to call it home!
