Students in grades 10-12 will submit the Summer Assignment in Google Classroom.
Incoming freshmen will hand in a paper copy to their Period Two teacher on the day of the Summer Reading event. Incoming Freshmen will not use Google Classroom.

Incoming freshmen are not using Google Classroom. Incoming freshmen will submit paper copies of their Summer Assignments.

Your Grade
This is one of the first QUIZ GRADES you will receive in English class.
An overall Summer Reading grade will be factored into your first quarter English grade.
Part 1) Summer Assignment -- 40 Points
Students in Grades 10-12 will submit their assignments via Google Classroom.
Incoming freshmen will turn in a paper copy on the day of the event to their period 2 teacher.
Part 2) Summer Reading Event -- 60 Points
Activator -- 5 Points
Participation in small group discussion and Jeopardy game-- 55 Points
Get help with your assignment and earn extra credit by attending a Summer Support Session!
Teachers will provide help with your assignment and you will be able to ask questions about your book.
You will earn FIVE extra credit points for each session that you attend.
Points will be added to your final Summer Reading grade.
Session Dates:
August 9 -- Virtual on Zoom at 4pm
August 16 -- In person at GLTS from 10am - 12pm
August 24 -- In person at GLTS from 2pm - 4pm
