The objective for this course will be furthering student understanding and interest of Modern World Cultures. By the end of this course, the students should have a solid understanding of World Geography and different cultures of the world. A general outline of the year’s curriculum is below:
· Geography Skills and Analysis / Five Themes of Geography
· Cultural analysis of major regions within the United States of America
· Cultural analysis of major regions and countries within Europe
· Cultural analysis of other regions and countries around the world (If time permits)
Embedded in this curriculum are problem solving, critical thinking, content reading, and expressive writing as it pertains to real world applications.
