Global Grid Project has found a lack of basic resources to millions of people. We partner with organizations across the world to increase awareness about resource poverty. With our partners, we create and expand access to basic resources throughout the world.
Engines for Change's mission is to build and foster a community of changemakers who use motorcycles as tools to address today's most pressing global issues, and to provide education and resources that informs and inspires others to make a difference in their own ways.
Engines for Change is a registered DBA in the State of Oregon under Global Grid Project. The two organizations joined forces in early 2023, forming one 501(c)3 under the same EIN. Tax-deductible donations can be made under either name through the same EIN (465654449).
When we were first founded, it was found that about 1/3 of the world’s population (over 2 billion people) live their lives without access to electricity, while the rest of the world cannot live without it. Access to electricity breaks the cycle of poverty and positively improves the quality of life of the people directly affected. Electricity enables people to access education, safer environments and a better quality of life. Our team believes that access to electricity is a human right that should be available to all and we are currently working to make this belief a reality. We have since grown to include our funding to cover access to all basic resources.
