The total solar eclipse will be visible in Soria, Spain, on August 12, 2026, with the eclipse beginning at approximately 7:34 p.m. local time, reaching maximum at 8:29 p.m., and ending at 9:11 p.m. Totality will last for over a minute within the path of visibility.
The likelihood of clear skies for the 2026 total solar eclipse in Soria, Spain is generally good, with August being a typically sunny month with high percentages of clear skies in that region. Soria is well-positioned for viewing, offering crystal-clear skies and a good sun height, though thunderstorm risk does exist.

Embark on an extraordinary journey through Northern Spain, where timeless traditions, rich landscapes, and a rare celestial event converge.
Arrive and acclimate in one of Spain's internationally connected cities (e.g., Bilbao, Madrid, or Barcelona) and make your way to the vibrant coastal city of San Sebastián, where we’ll savor world-renowned cuisine and seaside charm before heading to Pamplona, home of historic festivals and local flavor.
In Olite, the town’s medieval festival will transport us back in time, with its castle and cobblestone streets alive with music and pageantry. We’ll continue into Rioja wine country, staying in Logroño to enjoy vineyard visits and tapas strolls.
Our path leads next to Soria, where we’ll position ourselves under the path of totality for the 2026 solar eclipse—a breathtaking, unforgettable moment. Before flying back home, conclude your journey in Bilbao, blending old-town character with modern art and architecture, or Madrid, the country's vibrant capital.

Wednesday, 8/5: Transfer to Donostia-Sebastián via rental car or private transportation; spend the evening exploring, dining, and relaxing your own ( we can help with restaurant recommendations and reservations)
Thursday 8/6: In the morning, enjoy a city tour (1.5h) followed by a guided gourmet pintxo tour that includes 7 pintxos and 5 drinks in the most popular bars of San Sebastián. These tours are exclusive to our guests.
In the afternoon, take a shared sunset boat tour (2h) from San Sebastián to Pasajes.
Friday, 8/7: Check out; make the short drive (~1:15h) to Pamplona.

While this itinerary begins in Donostia-Sebastián and ends in Soria, we highly recommend extending your trip before and/or after with a visit to Bilbao. Or consider starting in Bilbao and ending in Madrid. Both cities offer convenient flights to Europe and North America.
We will gladly provide additional travel assistance, including hotels, tours, itinerary planning, and restaurant reservations upon request (at additional expense).
