Do you like to eat? Of course you do. Come join Mr. Allen and Mrs. EYP on three course field trip with a stop at Chic-fil-a for lunch. The appetizer will begin at James River Nursery; followed by the first course at Greenswell Grower; and the second course at Hermitage Country Club . Dessert will be at Chic-fil-a.

Need volunteer hours? Want to spend the day helping out your community? Join us for Helping Paws Community Day, where you can pick from a variety of options to help make our community a better place. Options include reading to Goochland and Randolph Elementary Students, helping out at Goochland Cares, Helping out in the GMS library, doing puzzles with nursing home residents, and many more!

Students will rotate through stations that teach them the things you don't usually learn in school. Subjects will include: finances, relationships, social media, job skills, health, and citizenship.
Lt. Col. Williams & Staff Sgt. Strong
Basics of Bullseyes is a comprehensive introduction designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the fundamentals of competitive rifle shooting. Whether you're a novice looking to explore the world of precision marksmanship or an experienced shooter seeking to enhance your skills, this course offers a unique opportunity to delve into the exciting realm of competitive shooting. Students will culminate each class with a three position air rifle a course of fire.
Mr. Rose
Students will engage in a virtual reality beat saber competition. There will be different difficulty competitions to make it fair and distinguish between pros and new players.
Ms. Rodriguez
Students will have the opportunity to play board games and cards. Students can also color and practice mindfulness.

Grab your best friends and come join us for a day of bracelet making, snack munchin, and music boppin FUN! We will have yummy snacks, beverages, games and more! We will also have a few other SUPER surprises that you will just have to wait for <3 We'll see you there!
Mr. Greenway & Mr. Eubank
In this course we will learn annual maintenance items everyone needs to know. Sharpening lawn mower blades, changing your oil, air and fuel filters, and tire air pressure just to name a few. We will also learn tire rotation and how to change a flat tire.
Ms. Jacobsen & Mr. Rock
Students will get a crash course in volleyball rules and skills! We will play by co-ed rules and net hight. Anyone, including beginners, are welcome!
Ms. Parker
Living on a small budget is hard. Learn how you can save your cash and cook in a dorm room or apartment using a microwave or toaster oven. Students will learn some hacks while cooking and eating.
Mr. Hover
In groups of 2, 3, or 4 you will be competing against other groups in the room to see who can put together 500 piece jigsaw puzzles the fastest. The winning group will have completed the most. If you finish one, there will be a second, shorter puzzle to work on. Winning group will get bragging rights, as well as candy!

Have you ever wanted to design a custom sticker or iron-on? Come learn the Cricut Software and make your design dreams come true! You'll learn to use the software and actually make stickers to take with you using a Cricut cutting machine.

Students will be able to mold and create a variety of items, from every objects and abstract art sculptures with paper mâché!

This course is specifically designed for students who will soon be moving out of their homes and living independently, especially college-bound students. Learn everything you need to know about your car to feel confident it will work when needed and keep you safe in your travels. Participants may be asked to complete basic car-care tasks, including checking the oil, changing tires, monitoring tire pressure, and other general car needs.

Mr. Cutro's application tips and tricks - acquired straight from his time in the William & Mary admissions office - will insure your application stands out among the rest. And once you're in college, Ms. Bolt has you covered - from study tips to social advice to the most gourmet dorm room recipes to keep yourself energized and...engaged! Come do some dorm room cooking, sit back with the food you make, and let Goochland High School's senior teachers prepare you for the collegiate experience!

Students engage in a blend of indoor and outdoor activities, including discussions in community circles, mindfulness practices, walking and sitting in nature, and reflective writing, to explore and understand the concept of gratitude.

This session will be a crash course in applying for multiple scholarships from various organizations and provide some helpful resources to set you up for success while saving time and decreasing stress in the process. You will emerge from it with organizational tools and effective strategies to make the most of what you have for the committees that can make your potential college debt that much less.

In this unique class, we embark on a journey through the empowering lyrics and melodies of Taylor Swift's music, while also delving into the realms of mental health awareness and self-discovery. Through a combination of discussions, activities, and self-reflection, participants will gain insights into their own personalities, cultivate meaningful connections with others, and celebrate the spirit of empowerment.
Coach Krupp & Coach Gibbs
Students will learn how to prepare for and execute a successful tailgate or back yard gathering including: what to bring to a tailgate, properly packing a cooler, how to operate both gas and wood pellet grills, using correct grilling equipment, and popular yard games.
Mr. Burch & Ms. Day
From the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Prince, and Taylor Swift, these bands and musical artists have one thing in common: Iconic live performances throughout history. In this class, we will study the history of these iconic performances while enlightening students on the concert experience. We will watch a few of these iconic performances via the archives and discuss their cultural relevance. We will also review the concert etiquette and show what goes on behind the scenes (lighting, sound, costumes, etc.).

Come learn about the "Canine Companions for Independence" program from some of our local puppy raisers. They will share the process of how they go from being a "puppy in training" until they graduate from the program and are placed with their person in need. They will also be bringing their therapy dogs to share some of the things they do as well.

Learn to crochet and hopefully make a coaster or Dunkin cup sleeve.

Based after the hit TV show, students will gather and compete in LEGO challenges to see who will be crowned the GHS LEGO Master.
Ms. Tolson
Make your own mini masterpiece using acrylic paint and creativity. This is a workshop for all levels of experience. Whether you want a lot of independence or a lot of guidance, you'll leave with a fun experience and a 4" x 4" painting.

Join Borgie and Cocke for a nature walk. We will search and find and use our mind to identify and demystify the things that reside outside.

Join us for the art of crafting paper flowers! In this hands-on class, students will learn how to create stunning paper blooms. You'll discover how to fold, cut, and shape paper into lifelike floral masterpieces.
We will guide you through each step, providing personalized tips and tricks to bring your creations to life. Unleash your creativity, unwind, and immerse yourself in the therapeutic process of crafting beautiful paper flowers.
Ms. Melvin
Pickleball, a game taking America by storm, combines elements of tennis and ping pong. After a short review of the rules followed some skills practice, students will play several matches. Beginners and experienced players are all welcome! Weather permitting, we will be outdoors so dress accordingly.

Do you like representing your school? Are you interested in learning how to make your social media engaging? Then join Mrs. Mistler in a crash course on how to build captivating social media posts as we create a social media account for our school's yearbook!

Learn how to find specific statistics in basketball. Enjoy playing/shooting basketball while finding statistics within the game.
Mr. Wampler
Students will explore early films of Edison, Melies, etc. - and then also explore selected pivotal moments in cinematic history.
Mr. Maloney & Coach Farkas
Students will see what impacts the flight of a disc. They will determine which discs are best for their throwing style. We will analyze spin rate, speed and flight angles and apply this to aiming and throwing at real targets. Students will then be given an opportunity to apply these skills on portions of the disc golf course.
Ms. Exum
Dancers, come for a full dose of ballet, including barre, a little history and famous ballerinas, tips for taking ballet into your future, learn a classical variation for performance, AND possibly win ballet giveaways! No experience necessary, but some will help! Please come prepared to move! Dance class attire, or comfortable/exercise clothing is necessary. Please bring either ballet slippers or socks; pointe shoes welcome for those officially en pointe. Please bring a sweatshirt/sweatpants, or warmups to protect those muscles during our seated learning session!

Dig your own clay in the wild and then make art with it!

In this class, we will challenge each other to see who can build the best boat. We will build a boat out of recycled materials and race! There will also be several tests to determine whose team has made the best boat! ( there will be a prize for the best!)

This class will provide a structured environment where students will practice various yoga techniques, including physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation.
Ms. Bowles
Zentangle is a form of creative doodling. This method of artistic meditation allows one to attain a state of “creative mindfulness” through art. Those who practice Zentangle often find it has calming and stress relieving effects in their lives. It’s like “yoga for the brain.”
