Development of the digital platform started in 2016 as an internal project in the energy company M Vest Energy, who established a collaboration with a group of software developers from Goontech AS.

In 2019 the digital platform was bought out by the software company GLEX AS, who will continues the development and made the software available on commercial terms.

Although the software platform is developed for the petroleum industry, it can be adapted by all sectors where it is useful to combine geographical information and other data, for example in renewable energy, fish farming or public transportation.
