Hello! It's so nice to meet you!

My name is Miss Becky Simo and I am thrilled to be your teacher for 4th and 5th grade!

I graduated from Marquette University in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Theatre Arts. In 2017, I graduated from Elmhurst College with a Master's in Special Education.

When I'm not teaching, I love to read, travel, bake, and spend time with my friends and family. In 2018 I ran the Chicago Marathon -- my first (and probably only!) marathon.

This is my eighth year teaching in District 34 and my third year at Glen Grove. Before joining the Voyagers team, I taught 5th grade in the Tree at GG, spent four years teaching Drama at Pleasant Ridge and a year teaching reading interventions at Springman Middle School. I have always known I wanted to be a teacher and I have the best job in the world!

I grew up in Elmhurst with my mom, dad, two younger sisters and my younger brother. I am looking forward to a two fantastic years together!
