Welcome to our site to support Family Learning
I CAN website - support for developing communication
For the month of October we move on to look at Spelling/Phonics (letter sounds.) The children in P2-7 have been learning their common word spellings. These can be found below.
For homework this week, complete the 'Describe a Word' activity (explained opposite) to help you learn you words.
P1s (English) have looked at the letters s, a, t, i, p and n. P1s (Gaelic) have looked at the letters a, o, c, d.
Can the children search for these in their environment? Where can they find them on signs etc? Can they practise writing them out in various ways with water, on their whiteboards from their maths packs?
There are further ideas to support each class stage in the General Literacy Support section below.
