Meet the teacher

Kia Ora!

My name is Ms .Hiskens and I am the new teacher of Room 6. I have grown up in the Glen Innes/ Glendowie area and attended both Glendowie Primary school and Glendowie College.

Some of my hobbies include Netball and fitness. I love being active and giving any sports a go! I have played, coached and umpired netball throughout my time at school and continue to play when i can.

I also love being creative. I enjoyed any chance I get to express myself through art. I have been an active drama student as well as have passion for interior design in my free time.

Finally, I have a passion for animals. I have grown up as an only child so have always owned many pets to fill up my household. This includes a cat, dog, guinea pigs, birds, mice, fish and more.

I am very excited to be teaching in Room 6 and being apart of the Glen Taylor Whanau.
